    A useful item for very little money.
    This tailgate damper was easy to install and works well. It provides about the right amount of braking so that the tailgate drops in a controlled way, but you won’t fall asleep waiting for it to happen.

    On 2016 F150 Aluminum Tailgate it Works Great!
    This strut works great on my 2016 F150 with aluminum tailgate, and it installs easily and quickly. I like the rate that the tailgate drops, its not too fast and not too slow. I wonder if the folks that are saying their tailgate drops too fast are installing it on a 2015 (pre-aluminum) F150 with the lot heavier steel tailgate. If that’s the case, they might need one of these struts on both sides of the tailgate.

    No boor banging tailgate.
    Luxurious. Instructions are pretty bad, but simple install. My one mistake was installing upside dow. If you hit the rod against the bolt where it connects on the tailgate… flip it around.

    Easy Install, requires tailgate strap hook removal.
    Easy/quick install. Works as advertised. Only difference I found is I had to remove my tailgate strap hook on the driver side on my 22 f150 as it contacts the piston when closing.

    This is a simple install and it works well. For the price you can’t go wrong. On the 2021 Up f150 you will have to remove the tiedown/bottle opener from the drivers side of the tailgate. I like this product, It is a different solution than Ford uses OEM.

    Deberían incluir el tornillo inferior de la luz trasera ya que el cable cuándo se guarda roza y se desgasta el forro, el tornillo como el que ya viene agregado en el kit, solo que de la medidad adecuada, esto como sugerencia el producto cumple añ 100%
