    Nicely made seems sturdy.
    Cover is metal and seems well made welds looked good, paint was also very good. American flag appears to be a metal decal which is nice cause you may want to change it some day and would be easier than buying a whole new hitch cover. The lock seems of good quality, I can not speak to how well it will protect from theft but its at least a deterrent. no instructions in the box but pretty self explanatory the rubber o rings will go on the pin 2 on either side to help stop the pin from sliding side to side. Time will tell if they work.

    I wanted something just to keep crap out of the hitch receiver but I didn’t want a cheap rubber plug but didn’t want something that was cool enough for a lazy person to steal just by undoing the hitch pin. So a nice little piece of metal with a built in lock pin solves the issues. It came with two keys, so one in the truck and one left at the house just in case. Technically I could use the receiver as a key stash now for when I go to the beach now if I wanted. No one wants a $100+ key fob lost in the sand or dunked in that water. I doubt that the locking pin is rated in any fashion so I won’t be planning on using it as a hitch pin when towing but I didn’t buy it for that purpose. I have only had it for a few months so I can’t speak to the craftsmanship or durability but I expect no issues since it is metal and it is fully painted (possibly powder coated). There is also a rubber cap to help protect the lock itself from dirt, salt, water, etc.

    Looks great with flaws
    I really loved the look of this for my new truck. However, today someone hit me from behind and crushed my nice hitch cover!!!🤯 I purchased this in November of 2023 and had never needed to remove it. Well today was the day! 9 months later. On Amazon I go, getting ready to purchase a brand new replacement…. However, while attempting to remove the old one, the lock didn’t open! Bummer! No problem. WD40 to the rescue! After several minutes of tugging, EUREKA! It opened… After finally getting the lock to disengage, now the pin would not release. Out comes the hammer and screwdriver! Several minutes of banging later, it finally came off!!! Moral of the story. Looks great, but with flaws! Scared to purchase the new cover because the lock was a 🤬 to get off!

    We have gotten so many compliments and have been asked so much where we got this. It goes perfectly on our ford flex. A purchase well worth it. The color has not faded No rust and I wash my car a lot. Easy to assembly. Fit perfect. 100% durable.
